10-07 Donation

Thank you for helping us to continue to Protect and Serve the Legacy of Corporal Toby Kim Candilora 

Sixteen years ago on October 7, 2009, we lost our hero Toby Candilora. He was very passionate about his job as a Police Officer. He would always tell me he hated signing off duty because that meant the bad guys would get a few more hours of freedom. He truly loved to serve and protect.

In the police world 10-7 is the call sign for "Signing off Duty." On 10/7/09 my brother signed off duty for the final time. It took us 3 weeks after he passed to realize the significance of the meaning 10-7 and the date of his passing. It gave us chills and our family still isn't sure if it was a coincidence or if it was planned by Toby himself? We saw it fitting to name the organization the 10-07 Charitable Fund.

Five years after Toby passed, a close friend of his approached our family about preserving Toby's legacy through a charitable fund. We were deeply honored! In the 16 years since its inception, the 10-07 Charitable Fund organization has given back to the community that helped shape Toby into the great man he was. It has also helped organizations that assisted him through his days of battling ALS as well as various families living with ALS.

Our family is forever grateful to all of those who have supported us in the past (financially or emotionally). We appreciate all the kind words, thoughtful texts and emails, phone calls, and hugs. We are proud of what Toby accomplished in his short but productive life.
