Hello family and friends: We start 2016 energized by your support and the results of our first year!
Together, we built a firm foundation to preserve Toby’s legacy and continue the work he was so passionate about in life. In 2015, we raised $22,000, created the first-ever Weber State University Law Enforcement Academy scholarship, and bolstered in-place efforts to honor Toby. Our grantees include:
ALS Association of Oregon: The 10-07 Fund donated $1,000.00 to the Candilora Cadets, the ALS Association Oregon Chapter walk team of April, Taylore and Samantha Candilora.
Bellevue University: Classmates and professors dear to Toby started a scholarship in his name in 2010. The 10-07 Fund bolstered these efforts in 2015, committing $5000 a year for five years to endow the Toby K. Candilora Scholarship.
WSU Law Enforcement Academy: 10-07 Fund donated $12,000 to create the first ever Weber State University Law Enforcement Academy scholarship. The Academy awarded the scholarship at the start of the Fall 2015 semester, and will award it again in Spring 2016.
The remaining 18 percent of funds raised are on hand to ensure the fund builds over time. It will support the next walk, fund our minimal operational costs, and begin building the 10-07 Charitable Fund endowment.
We are incredibly grateful to you for lifting our hearts and community in this way, and we look forward to building upon these results in the years to come. Please save Saturday, June 18, 2016 for our second annual 5K Run/Walk and watch for stories from our grantees.
With love and gratitude,
The Jones and Candilora Families
